FULTON--Velma Knight, 89, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Helen Keller Hospital in Tuscumbia, AL. She was born April 24, 1934 to the late Dalton Henry Rogers and the late Cora Lee Graham Rogers in Itawamba County. She worked in various manufacturing plants in Itawamba County before she retired. She was a member of Burnt Fields Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, sewing, spending time with her family, especially grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services will be at 2pm on Tuesday August 8, 2023 at Senter Funeral Home with Bro.Timothy Gassaway officiating. Burial will be in Burntfields Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5pm - 7pm on Monday August 7 at Senter Funeral Home.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Joey (Misty) Gassaway of Belmont, Timmy (Sara) Gassaway of Belmont, James Buchanan of Belmont, Rebecca Gassaway of Belmont, and Tiffany (Jon) Rutledge of Tishomingo, daughter-in-law, Wanda (Wallace) Buchanan of Belmont, great-grandchildren, Dakota Gassaway, Aleah Gassaway, Maddison Gassaway, Jasmine Gassaway, Chloe Gassaway, Abigail Jones, Rachael Rutledge, Richie Arruda, Gabriel Rutledge, Alayna Rutledge, and Cayden Leonard, and host of nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Arthur Knight, parents, Dalton and Cora Lee Rogers, son, Jackie Lee Gassaway and a brother, Frank Rogers.
Pallbearers will be Joey Gassaway, Marty Rogers, Dalton Rogers, Wallace Buchanan, and Rodney Green.
