Shirley Mae Abbott Cayson, 80, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2024, at NMMC in Tupelo. She was born January 14, 1944 to the late Pilgram Abbott and the late Dollie Beasley Abbott. She loved her family, animals, plants, and always God first. She was mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a talker. Shirley loved to give hugs and was a great listener and a caregiver with the biggest heart..
A memorial service honoring her life will be held at a later date. Senter Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Survivors include her children: Leigh Ann (Mickey) Turner, Cynthia Mae Koval, John Thomas Cayson, Jr., Melissa Anne Cayson; grandchildren: Billy Eads, Greg Rayburn, Kristy Berryman, Mitchell Floyd, Trice McMichael, Hunter McMichael, Addison Patterson, Karisa Phelps; 9 great grandchildren, sisters: Linda Oliver and Grace McKinney; 2 sister-in-laws and 2 brother-in-laws.
