Obituary For Roger "Wildman" Haas

MANTACHIE--Roger “Wildman” Haas, 75, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Born on May 5, 1949, in Illinois, Roger was the son of the late Merrill Haas and the late Ruth Griffin Haas. He spent over 30 years behind the wheel as a dedicated truck driver, traveling the country and collecting stories along the way.
Known to many by his nickname "Wildman," Roger had a witty sense of humor that could light up any room. He lived life on his own terms and found joy in the simple pleasures — riding his motorcycle, camping under the stars, watching westerns and sci-fi movies, and spending quality time with his loved ones.
Roger’s spirit was as adventurous as it was kind, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
His services will be private.
Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangemets.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Haas of Mantachie; daughters, Renee (AL) Haas-Griffeth of TN, Pam Bodmer of Fulton, Anna Bonnelle of IL, Melissa (Danny) Williams of Fulton, and Michelle (DJ) Owens of Fulton; grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan, Ryan, Baylee, Sydnee, Paislee, Brystol, Jaxx, Madison, Molly, Cameron, and Daxton; great grandchildren, Ashton, Adalie, and Arya; sisters, Sandra Crumpton of Mooreville, and Rita Lindholm of KS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Merrill and Ruth Haas; brothers, Kenny Haas, and Preacher; and a sister, Lucy Haas.
