Obituary For Peggy Pearce
Peggy Louise Green Pearce, 85, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was born February 1, 1940 to the late Perdie "P.C." Green and the late Irene Wardlaw Green. She began a life of hard work that spanned over 60 years. Peggy worked a variety of jobs but the ones she enjoyed the most were working in the lunchroom at Fulton Grammar School and Walmart where she spent 29 years in service in a variety of capacities. She loved being with the children in the cafeteria and working with the public. She knew almost everyone and everyone knew Ms. Peggy too! She wasn’t just the greeter at Walmart, she greeted anyone and everyone anywhere she went. She had an infectious smile, gave the best hugs, and made everyone feel loved. Peggy found great joy serving and decorating with her sister Mavis at the church, working in her yard, watching sports (especially ICC basketball), traveling many, many miles to watch her grandchildren play sports (she rarely ever missed a game), working on crafts, and studying her Bible. Hagan and Molly Mae brought her immense happiness and were truly the apple of her eye. Peggy was the epitome of a doting mother, grandmother, and friend and she will be missed dearly.
Services will be 2:00 pm November 2, 2025, at Senter Funeral Home with Pastor Joey Bates officiating and Nicole Pearce delivering the eulogy. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday November 1, 2025, at Senter Funeral Home. Burial will be at Itawamba Memorial Gardens.
