Obituary For Matthew "Red" Daniels
SHANNON-- Matthew "Red" Daniels, 41, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023, in Shannon as the result of a ATV accident. He was born January 1, 1982 to Steve Daniels and Cindy Ivy in Tupelo. He was employed with the Lee County Sheriffs Department as a Juvenile corrections officer. He was a member of Verona FUPC. Matt's greatest love was his children of whom he adored and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and 4 wheeler riding. His bright smile and love for life touched everyone he met. Matt had the most unwavering faith, and his answer to everything was to just pray about it. .
Funeral services will be at 2 pm on Monday November 13, 2023 at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. John McAlister officiating. Burial will be in Keyes Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11-2 on Monday November 13 at Senter Funeral Home.
Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
He is survived by his father, Steve Daniels of Grenada, mother, Cindy of Fulton, step father, Walter Walters of Shannon, step grandfather, Billy Ridgeway of Tupelo, son, Cameron (Chrisheana) Daniels of Amory, daughters, Emily Daniels, Charlie Kate Daniels of Hamilton, and Fallon Blair Daniels, all of Hamilton, MS, the mother of his children, Kimberly Daniels of Hamilton, great grandson, Asher Cole, sister, Casey Vanlandingham of Amory, nephew, Tyler, nieces, McKenzie, and Madeline, uncles, Rex (Lori) Jones of Saltillo, Randy (Cindy) Jones of Tupelo, and Scotty Daniels of Meridian, special friend and mentor, Sam (Barbara) Sisk of Shannon.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Glen and Earlene Daniels, maternal grandmother, Linda Ridgeway, maternal grandfather, Larry B. Jones, and brother in law, Jamie Westmoreland.
Pallbearers will be Cameron Daniels, Scotty Daniels, Ryan Bean, Dusty Williams, Andy Sisk, and Michael Otts.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jackie "Cooter" Hall, Eric Wilson, and Doug Redden.
