Obituary For Lisa Hudson
DORSEY- Lisa Gail Smith Hudson, 58, of Dorsey, MS, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 9th, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS after a long battle with Leukemia. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Lisa was born on November 2nd , 1966, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Arthur and Shirlene Smith. She was an accomplished musician who used her talents to praise the Lord through song. For over 40 years, Lisa and her husband sang for the Lord together. Along with the Lord and her family, Lisa loved her special “babies” Ellie and Michael, the New Orlean Saints, and ICEEs.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday March 15, 2025, at Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. John Smith, Bro. Corbey Jones, and Bro. Gary Gray officiating. Burial will be in Keyes Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday March 14, at Bethel Baptist Church and will continue from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday at the church.
Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Lisa is survived by her husband Matt Hudson, her children Kala Hudson and Jonathan Hudson, her mother Shirlene Smith, her siblings John David Smith and Rhonda Tilly, along with many loved nieces and nephews.
Lisa was preceded in death by her Father Arthur Smith, her sister Cindy Jones, and nephew Andrew Jones.
Pallbearers will be Josiah Smith, Seth Smith, David Hudson, Steven Tilly, Brooks Green, and Bryan Gibson. The Dorsey Friendship Volunteer Fire Department will be Honorary Pallbearers.
Lisa was loved by many and will be sorely missed. In leu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to BMAA Missions in memory of Lisa at www.bmaglobal.org.
