Obituary For Linda Guntharp

MANTACHIE--Linda Grace “Crabby” Guntharp, born in September of 1945, was the daughter of the late William Earl Gregory and Leema Umfress Gregory of Mantachie, Mississippi. She departed this earthly life on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at the age of 77. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday December 14, 2022 at Senter Funeral Home. Burial will be in Harden's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Wednesday December 14 at Senter Funeral Home. Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. She was preceded in death by husband Jerry Guntharp and son Derrick Guntharp of Mantachie(wife Mollye). She was survived by daughters: Paula Parker of Fulton, Pam Dzunu of Carrickfergus, UK(husband Edem), Rebecca Sutton of Sweetwater, TN (husband Tucker), and Tina Galloway of Middleton, TN (husband Brad). Sisters: Earlene Paylor of San Diego, CA, Peggy Grissom of Mantachie, MS (husband David), and Mary Ludeen Butler of Old Hickory, TN. Grandchildren: Brandon Beam of TX, Scott Parker of Tremont (wife Kaity), Tessa Colburn of Mantachie (husband Austin), Etornom of Carrickfergus, UK, granddog Carter Sutton of Sweetwater, TN, and several great-grandchildren. Linda enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, floral arranging, and various other arts and crafts. She was a talented cake decorator and held various jobs throughout her life including textile factories, restaurants, and cafeterias. She was a member of Fawn Grove Freewill Baptist and Dorsey Baptist churches where she enjoyed running Sunday school and helping with various church events. Above all though, her passion was her family. She was a stay at home mom and caregiver to both her mother and husband, for several years. She had an outstanding sense of humor which she passed down to her children and grandchildren. She fiercely loved her husband, children, grandchildren, sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her faith in God, zest for life, unfailing humor, and giving nature are her legacy and will live on through her family. Honorary Pallbearers will be Terry Buse, Jeff Cooley, Ronnie Cooley, Steve Cooley, Randy Guntharp, Rick Guntharp, and Bruce Summers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association securely online at www.lbda.org or by mail at 912 Killian Hill Rd. SW. Lilburn, GA. 30047.

    I knew Linda Grace when she was just a small girl her parents rented a house from my grandparents in Sardis, Ms . I lived in Memphis Tn and would visit my grandparents in the summer I enjoyed playing with Linda in those days. I have a picture of Linda with my grandfather and her father and sister Peggy. So sorry to hear about Linda. Larry Foster
