Obituary For Joyce Kilgore Mackey
Joyce Kilgore Mackey passed away at home May 14th, 2025 due to complications related to cancer. She was born September 24, 1955 to Harold Kilgore and Sara Harbin. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She was born in Grenada but has spent most of her life in Fulton, MS. She was married to David Phillip Mackey, Sr. in 1972; she could not have asked for a more devoted husband. Together they created a family to love and love they did.
She has requested no services only private celebrations of life.
She has been reunited with David in heaven and has asked that they share a space together on earth so that they may remain together eternally. She also joins both her parents, two of her brothers, one grandchild, and two great grandchildren in the afterlife.
She is survived by three brothers, her two children, and her beloved grandchildren. She was fortunate enough to enjoy several years on earth with her great grandchildren.

I could not ask for a better friend than Joyce was to me. Joyce was not only a coworker but like a sister to me. Joyce you will be missed but you can be with your David now. We will meet again someday. Lilly King

Billy and I are having a drink in her honor now. Joyce's family were neighbors for years and we had fun together. Prayers for all.
