Obituary For Jonathan Chandler
ABILENE, TX-- Jonathan Edward Chandler, 37, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at his home in Abilene, TX. He was born September 11, 1986 to Edward C. Chandler and Marcy Garrett Swan in Houston, TX. He was a 2005 graduate of Pine Tree High School in Longview, TX, where he played quarterback for the football team. Jonathan enjoyed playing the guitar, cooking, and was known for helping people who were going through difficult times to help them better themselves. He was working as a cook at the Abilene Country Club in Abilene, TX where he got to fulfill his love of cooking.
Funeral services will be private.
Burial will be in Fulton City Cemetery.
Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
He is survived by his mother, Marcy (Elmer) Swan of Fulton; father, Edward C. (Tandy) Chandler of Henderson, TX; Mother, sister, Laura (Griffin) Thomas of LOngview, TX; brother, Jeff (Christie) Handojo of Houston, TX, and a host of extended family members and friends.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jonathan Chandler while working for SATF. He was well liked by everyone and always helped anyone who needed it. He will definitely be missed.

I worked with Jonathan so many years ago. He was always funny & cutting up with everyone. Once, by accident, he even swept me off my feet (literally by sliding into me at the restaurant!) but he was so apologetic. He will be missed by so many, especially his family. Prayers for all of you.

Jonathan it was a great joy to watch you play football. You were very coachable and a good athlete. You're big heart was very evident through your actions and eyes. I know you're enjoying heaven and tossing the ball around. Rest In Peace Jonathan. My sweet Jonathan....... I'll never forget that curly headed sweet lil boy I met at Mother's Day out so many years ago. You and Brandon were best buds then and I loved being your second momma. It's not goodbye but we'll see ya in a lil while.

Hey I can't believe you are gone. Rest Easy and Fly with the Angels. You can eat all the chocolate chip cookies you want to now. I remember I bought your sister Laura a big chocolate chip cookies for her graduation and while everyone was gone from the house you decided that you would just eat it all. We love you and we will miss you.
