Obituary For Jerry Owens

Jerry Dale Owens, 75, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born April 2, 1949 to the late James Troy Owens and the late Ruby Dulaney Owens. He was a member of Beech Springs Freewill Baptist Church. He was a Vietnam Veteran with the U.S. Army where he received a commendation for saving his whole platoon. He was Ranger and with the Mac V Unit. He was a truck driver for most of his life. He loved to fish and to go deep sea fishing and he loved to drag race and was an avid NASCAR fan. Enjoyed working on cars or whatever else that had an engine. He was a proud Trump supporter. He was die hard Green Bay Packer fan. He also enjoyed golfing.
Services will be 1:00 pm on Monday April 22, 2024 at Senter Funeral Directors with Bro. Dennis Kizzire officiating. Visitation will be 2:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday April 21, 2024, at Senter Funeral Directors. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Treva Kay Owens of Fulton; sons: Kevin (Amber) Owens and Kyle Owens; granddaughter, Kendra Owens, grandson, Mason Owens, grandson, Linc Owens; step-son, Darrin (Tracey) Burroughs, step-son, Jim (Jill) Burroughs, step-daughter, Angela Williams, step-daughter, Kathy (Johnny) Jackson; grandchildren: Gabe (Sonya) Mendoza, Ricky Williams, Alyssa Williams, Michael (Katie) Stuart, Tyler (Jenny) Stuart, Charlie Jackson, Jeff (Ashley) Burroughs, Donna (Josh) Burroughs, Logan Burroughs, Sylvi Burroughs, Hatcher Burroughs; a host of great grandchildren; brothers: James R. (Sandy) Owens and Mike (Debbie) Owens; sister, Sharon Owens.
Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Kathy Owens
Pallbearers will be Darrin Burroughs, Jim Burroughs, Gabe Mendoza, Ricky Williams, Charlie Jackson, Brandon Owens

    Gpa Jerry was a wonderful loving man. My fondest memory was when he taught me how to use a duck whistle when I was a little girl. I thought it was the coolest thing. He will be missed by many. Hugs to my grandma Treva. Love his granddaughter, Donna
