DORSEY--James M. West, 91, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at his home. He was born June 1, 1932 in Amory. He retired from Southern Trucking after many years of service. He loved the Lord and was a active member of Dorsey Southern Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. James enjoyed working in his yard, tinkering with old cars and taking care of his dog, Lucky and his cats.
Services will be at 1pm on Saturday November 25, 2023 at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Gray, and Bro. Danny Rushing officiating. Burial will be in Walton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11am - 1 pm on Saturday November 25, at Senter Funeral Home.
Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy West of Dorsey, daughter, Debra (Robert) Raines of Fulton, grandsons, Jeremy (Brannon) McMillen of Frazier, CO, and Rob "Robbie" (Angela) Raines of Corinth, and great grandchildren, River Raines, and Clarity Raines.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 daughters, and a brother, Eugene West.
