James Daniel Lewis, 66, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born July 11, 1956 to the late Calvin Lewis and the late Neil Williams McKinney. He worked as a construction worker most of his life and also worked for Daniel Healthcare in Fulton. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and living a spirited life. He was a gardener and enjoyed his chickens. He was an outdoorsman when he was able and liked playing dominos. He loved his grandchildren and being with his family.
Services will be 2:00 pm on Sunday May 21, 2023, at Senter Funeral Directors with Bro. Robert Wood officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Saturday May 20, 2023 at Senter Funeral Directors. Burial will be at Friendship Methodist Cemetery. Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Survivors include his children: Nick (Carissa) Lewis of Booneville, Chasity (Ethan) Woods of Hodges, Kevin (Debra) Lewis of Fulton, Devin Lewis of Amory, Kelly (Dustin Spradling) Dickens; grandchildren: Aubry Woods, Jaden Lewis, K.C. Lewis, Thomas Burcham, Caylyn Burcham; sisters: Teresa Johnson, Trish Asbury, Trina Turner.
Preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jerry Wayne Lewis.
Pallbearers will be Devin Lewis, Kevin Edwards, Kenny Sides, Steven Clements, Corey Johnson, Michael Dale Wood.
