Obituary For Glen McQueen
FULTON- Glen McQueen, 80, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born July 5, 1945 to the late Edison McQueen and the late Mable Butler McQueen. He was a member of Phalti Baptist Church. A dedicated family man, Glen cherished spending time with his wife, Carolyn, and their three daughters. He took immense pride in teaching his daughters essential life skills, notably how to change a tire, ensuring they were well-prepared for whatever challenges life might present. His patience and guidance were hallmarks of his parenting, and his love for his family was evident in everything he did.Before suffering a massive stroke 23 years ago, Glen enjoyed working on cars, often spending weekends in his garage, fixing and tinkering. This love for automotive work not only fueled his passion but also created countless memories with his family, as they would often join him in his projects, learning and laughing together.Though the stroke changed many aspects of his life, Glen faced the challenges with remarkable courage and resilience. He was an inspiration to all who knew him, demonstrating unwavering strength and a steadfast commitment to his family.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Friday September 5, 2025, at Phalti Baptist Church, 889 Clem Road, Prentiss, MS 39474 with Bro. Rush Holcomb officiating. Burial will be in Phalti Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1pm to 2pm on Friday September 5, at Phalti Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn McQueen of Fulton; daughters, Glenda (Stu) Gaddy of Fulton, Audra (Everett) Williams of Hattiesburg, and Sara (David) Loyd of Madison, MS; grandchildren, Sarah Gaddy of Fulton, Alison Gaddy of Nashville, Grace Gaddy of Nashville, Elijah Williams of Hattiesburg, snd Liam Loyd of Madison; great grandchildren, Kevin Gaddy, Rynni Gaddy, Tre Gaddy, all of Fulton; sisters, Gladys Burkhardt of New Orleans, and Shirley (Tom) Hollis of Atlanta; brothers, Billy McQueen of Raymond, Gene McQueen of Prentiss, and Percy McQueen of Pearl, MS, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edison and Mable McQueen; son, Chadwick McQueen; brothers, John McQueen, Jerry McQueen, and Jack McQueen.
Pallbearers will be David Loyd, Stu Gaddy, Everett Williams, Mark Yates, Steve McQueen, and Brad Yates.
