Obituary For Freddie Brown

FULTON--Freddie Lee Brown, 61, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born September 7, 1962 to the late Tulon D. Brown and the late Ester Virginia Umphers Brown in Tupelo. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Freddie worked for the City of Fulton for 31 years, where he served as the City of Fulton Fire Chief for 10 of those years before his retirement. After he retired, he continued working for Gann Excavating for 7 years before having to retire due to his health. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR and spending time with his family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 4:00 pm on Wednesday August 21, 2024 at Senter Funeral Home with Minister J.C. Enlow officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Wednesday August 21, at Senter Funeral Home.
Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
He is survived by his significant other, Tina Pierce of Fulton; step children, Morgan (James) Ruple of Vina, AL, Colin (Jade) Ashmore of Fulton, and Hayleigh (Grant) Hawkins of Smithville; 6 grandchildren; brother, Gerald Brown of Fulton; aunts, Betty Umphers of Fulton, and Linda Sue (J.C.) Enlow of Fulton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tulon and Ester Virginia Brown; brother, Mackey Brown.
Pallbearers will be Gary Coleman, Stacy Smith, Greg Gann, Reid Gann, Terry Newkirk, and Davey Newkirk.

    Oh sweet Freddie, I had the privilege of being your cousin and babysitter. You always wore your boots when you were little, I would take them off and set them by the bed while you took a nap. I should have realized then you born to be a fire fighter. My cousin you wore the boots with the best and you were one of the best. See you on the other side my sweet Freddie.♥️
