Obituary For Floyce Wilson

BATON ROUGE, LA-- Floyce Barnett Wilson, 90, passed away on Friday August 23, 2024 at her home in Baton Rouge, La. She was born on September 28, 1933 to Jesse and Chesley Barnett in Houlka, MS. Floyce was a member of Jefferson Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, where she was a Sunday School teacher and active in ministering to the homebound. For many years she visited folks who could not attend church. For twenty years she owned and operated three fabric stores in the area. After retiring, Floyce enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at Providence Baptist Church in Tremont, MS, at 11:00 am on Thursday August 29th with Bro. Jeff Vincent officiating. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 11:00 am on Thursday August 29, at Providence Baptist church.
Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Floyce is survived by her three children Debbie, Larry and Mike and daughter in-law Michele as well as grandchildren, Michael and wife Nikki and children, Katie and husband Jeff and children, Jeremy and wife Roxy and children, and James and wife Bailey and children.
Floyce was preceded in death by her husband James R. Wilson, her parents and brothers Jewett Barnett
and Robert (Bud) Barnett.
