I remember young Bryan - well before aviation days - when he was growing up in Tupelo. I know he was an inspiration, guide and comfort to many and is terribly missed My prayers and thoughts are with all his family, and especially Louis, Sr. and Sally, at this difficult time.

Bryan married my granddaughter not too long ago, so I didn't have an opportunity to know him well. However, he and Robyn came up and we went out to lunch couple of times. He was at my house for Christmas two years, with his boys. My impressions of him were so favorable, he was such a nice man. The world is not a better place without him.

I went to flight school with Bryan. He joined our class after his paternity leave and was always so excited to go back to Mississippi to be with his family on the weekends. He always knew the answers to the IPs' questions. Even then he talked about being the chief warrant officer of the MS NG. He was the only person I ever knew with a President's 100 tab and humble about it, so I always brought him up when talking to someone who thought they were a true marksman. He loved flying and always talked about building and then flying his own helicopter. After I left the Army and went into medicine, we stayed in touch and I enjoyed hearing his side of the civilian medevac life. He really seemed to love the life he'd built with his family and dual civilian and military aviation careers. I'm so sorry for the Zemek family's loss.
