GOLDEN--Brenda Ewing Sweeney, 65, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born October 4, 1957 to the late Gene Ewing and the late Louise Rollins Ewing in Russellville, AL. She worked Red Bay Nursing Home and home health as a CNA for many years. She enjoyed mowing her yard,and loved her dogs. Brenda was known for being a caring CNA and enjoyed being there for people in their time of sickness.
Services will be private.

She is survived by her daughters, April Arnold (Ash) Smith of Saltillo, and Shondra (Robert McCullough) Vandiver of Golden, grandchildren, Noah Blanton, Aaron Blanton, Joshua (Kelsey) Pounders, Emerald (T.J.) Springer, Marissa (Jacob) Wilkerson, 5 great grandchildren, sisters, Shirley Oliver, Wanda Vasallo, and Cynthia Shewbert, brothers, Danny Ray (Gina) Ewing, and Larry (Cindy) Ewing.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Heather Arnold, son, Oscar Abrew, parents, Gene and Louise Ewing, and a brother, Ricky Ewing.
