FULTON--Bertha Steele, 89, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024, surrounded by family. She was born May 12, 1934 to the late Lee Vernon Ivey and the late Icey Odell Grimes Ivey in Marietta. She retired from DayBrite Lighting after 27 years of service. Bertha enjoyed keeping her grandchildren, shopping, making flower arrangements, watching John Wayne movies and spending time with her family.
Services will be at 3 pm on Wednesday April 17, 2024 at Senter Funeral Home with Derek Johnson, and Taylor Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Dennis Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 1pm to 3pm on Wednesday April 17, at Senter Funeral Home.

She is survived by her daughters, Glenda Steele of Fulton, Diane (Randy) Pruitt of Golden, and Patricia (Mackey) Nichols of Fulton; grandchildren, Jody (Charlie) Kelly of Fulton, Derek (Beth) Johnson of Fulton, Stacy (Jody) Hughes of Fulton, Lutisha Steele of Fulton, Taylor (Haley) Nichols of Fulton, and Courtney (Jake) Gray of Peaceful Valley; great grandchildren, Megan (Jacob Barnes) Basden, Allison Johnson, Dixie Johnson, Colton Basden, Kaylee Nichols, Kaden Nichols, Addie Nichols, Cazleigh Gray, and Callie Gray; sister, Brenda Holland Rodriguez of Winthrop Harbor, IL; brothers, Larry Mac Ivey of Beach Park, IL, and Jerry Ivey of Red Bay, AL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.D. Steele, daughter, Darlene Steele, parents, Lee Vernon Ivey and Icey Odell Ivey, brothers, J.T. Ivey, Carlton Ivey, Paul Ivey, Rodney Ivey, and Sydney Ivey, sisters, Quay Sides, Jackie Holland, and Gail Ivey.
Pallbearers will be Colton Basden, Kaden Nichols, Bobby Ivey, Randy Pruitt, Charlie Kelly, Jake Gray, and Jody Boy Hughes.
Honorary pallbearer will be Robert Clark.
