DORSEY--Barbara Hughes, 81, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born August 16, 1942 to the late Sibley Adams and the late Bertha Wyatt Adams in Zion, IL. She retired from Reed's Manufacturing after 35 years of service and was a member of Wardell Nazarene Church in Wardell, IL. She enjoyed watching NASCAR, reading books, working jigsaw puzzles, and sitting at the beauty shop "entertaining" the customers. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Services will be at 3:00 pm on Wednesday September 6, 2023 at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Burrows officiating. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12pm - 3pm on Wednesday September 6 at Senter Funeral Home.
Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
She is survived by her daughter, Beth (Matt) Lesley of Dorsey, son, Michael (Brenda) Hughes of Fulton, grandchildren, April (Josh) Press of Fulton, Shelby (Garrett) Adams of Dorsey, Jonathan Lesley of Dorsey, and Shane Hughes of Fulton, great grandchildren, Kirra Press, and Addie Adams, brother, J.H. Adams of IL, and a sister, Carolyn Stevens of IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Hughes, parents, Sibley and Bertha Adams, and brothers, Gary and Odell Adams.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Lesley, Matt Lesley, Will Lesley, Anthony Christian, Garrett Adams, Josh Press, and Mark Charles.
