Obituary For Ava Neal Taylor

Ava Neal Way Taylor, 88, passed away Friday, October 25, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born February 3, 1936 to the late Roy Way and the late Bessie Arnold Way. She was a member of Plainview Church of Christ. She met Adoyal while working in Chicago. They both moved back to the south, got married and were together for 64 years until his passing in 2022. She enjoyed game shows, football, and NASCAR. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with all her family.
Services will be 5:00 pm Monday, October 28, 2024, at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Tom House officiating. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm Monday October 28, at Senter Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be at Itawamba Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include her daughters: Cheryl Bowen, Linda (Tom) Hamilton, Kim (David) Hankins, Traci (Greg Howington) Carnathan, Emily (Donald Wayne Morse) Garrett; grandchildren: Britni (Chet) White, Lauren (Adam) Whitehead, Preston (Lacey) Hamilton, Lindsay (Taylor) Phillips, Jenna (Matt) Russell, Kenzley Carnathan, Matt Bowen, Kaitlyn (Anthony Ramirez) Garrett, Laney (Jeremiah) Garrett, Anna Grace (Hunter Spearman) Hankins, Addison Garrett, Kaylee Hankins, Brayden Garrett, Avaleigh Howington, Mayleigh Howington; great-grandchildren: Amber Whitehead, Bentley White, Avery White, Mia Phillips, Ella Ramirez, Henley Hamilton, Jaxson Phillips, Colton Russell, and soon to be great-grandson, Hardin Hamilton; special nephew, William Wayne (Tina Fisher) Taylor; special great-niece, Skyler Fisher; sister, Cleo Davis; host of extended family and friends.
Preceded in death by parents; husband, Adoyal Taylor; son, Edward Lee Taylor; daughter, Lisa Lynn Taylor; son in law, Jerry Bowen; grandson, Doyle Brandon Robinson; sisters: Margaret Cobb, Gladys Murray, Virginia Gibson, Ruth Way, Inez Way, Betty Jo Way; brother, Edward Way
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers are Tom Hamilton, David Hankins, Greg Howington, Donald Wayne Morse, William Taylor

    I am so very sorry for the loss of your very precious mother, grandmother, great grandmother! I know she was so much more than just a name but you will always have those special, precious memories to treasure in your heart! Please keep sharing them and talking about her in love because her spirit will always be with you. That was some of the happiest times in your lives so cherish and share them often. Do things for others in memory of your mother. Big or small doesn't matter...they will all HONOR the beautiful light she shone while she was here. It can continue to shine through each of you!     I was so sorry to hear of Mrs. Taylor passing. She was a sweet woman and it was very evident she was loved so much by her family. I wish nothing but the best for the family in this very difficult time.

    My memories of Aunt Neal are mostly from my childhood. She always had a smile, was pleasant, and clearly loved her family. She will be missed. The Davis and Shoemaker families send our deepest sympathies and love.
