Bobbie "Ray" Earl Ashley, 75, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018, at his residence. He was born September 14, 1942 to the late Erastus Earl Ashley and the late Nellie Irene Bennett Page. He worked as a carpenter for many years. He enjoyed fishing, collecting coins, guns, and knives. He also enjoyed wood working.
Services will be 11:00 am on Wednesday June 6, 2018 at Salem Baptist Church with Bro. Danny Wilburn officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 am - 7:00 pm at his residence, 400 N. Cummings St., in Fulton, Tuesday June 5, 2018. Visitation will begin Wednesday at the church beginning at 10:00 am until service time. Burial will be in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Senter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Ashley of Fulton, sons: Bobby E. (Sherry) Ashley, Jr. and Charles (Debbie) Mitchell; daughters: Barbara A. (Rickey) Posey, Sabrina Lynn Jergenson, Nellie (Stacy Smith) Moore, and Bobbie Jean Garner; and a host of grand and great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Sarina Lee Ashley; sisters: Pauline Wilson and Mary Nell Adams; brothers: Houston Ashley, Arles Ashley, and Alvagene Ashley; grandson, Cory Lee Barnes
Pallbearers are Casey Moore, Miles Jacobs, Shelby Moore, Bobby Ashley III, Ricky Gilliland.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bryston Howell, Jake Lesley, Skylar Smith.
