Thomas E. Mackey, 76, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born April 5, 1941 to the late Carl T Mackey and the late Hilda Elizabeth Roberts Mackey in Fulton. He along with his wife Telsa owned and operated Carl's Cleaners in Fulton. He was member and a Sunday School teacher at Hopewell Baptist Church. He enjoyed his family, riding motorcycles, and was an avid reader. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of the American Legion, Post 51 in Fulton. Along with getting his Bachelors Degree from MIssissippi State University, he was also an avid Mississippi State fan of all sports. He continued his education after Mississippi State and received his MBA from Mississippi College. Before he and his wife Telsa took over the family business at Carl's Cleaners, he worked in the business office at the University Medical Center in Jackson. After working in Jackson, he then moved to Warner Robins, GA where worked as an Assistant Administrator of the Houston County Hospital and served in the same position with several other hospitals through out his early working career.
Services will be at 2:00 pm on Friday February 16, 2018 at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Matt Hudson. Burial will be in Stephens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Friday February 16 at Senter Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Telsa Mackey of Fulton, Daughter, Pamela Mackey of GA, Son, Michael Mackey of Fulton, Granddaughters, Alyssa Mackey, Alexa Mackey, Sister, Shirley Fitzgibbon of Tupelo, Brother, David (Joyce) Mackey of Fulton, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sister, Barbara Sanders, and Brother, Carl (Huey) Mackey.
Pallbearers will be Michael Brown, Ken Brown, Toby Reno, Jeff Reno, Matthew Mackey, Gettis Oswalt.
Honorary pallbearers will be Hopewell Adult One Sunday School Class, American Legion Post 51, and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
