Julian Orr Hood, 83, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born November 27, 1934 to the late Horace Hood and the late Beatrice Guntharp Hood. He was a member of Sandy Springs Baptist Church. He and his wife owned and operated Hood's Grocery Store in Ryan's Well community for 50 years. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing. He was a true outdoorsman.
Services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday January 31, 2018 at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Jarrell officiating. Burial will be in Sandy Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday January 30, 2018 at Senter Funeral Home.

He is survived by his Wife, Shelby Hood of Fulton, Sisters, Onie Rae Brazil of Fulton, Imagene Dyer, of Fulton, and Ella Dean Dexter of Iuka, special niece, Jody (Michael) Cleary of Hernando, special nephew, Bruce (Tiffany) Johnson of Fulton, Granddaughters, Amber Bailey of Bartlett, and Audrey Wheeler of Fulton, and a host of other nieces and nephews, brother in law, Ralph (Jennie) Johnson of Fulton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, special nephew, Bradley Taylor Gates, and 3 brothers.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Voyles, Ronald Houston, Steve Guin, Bruce Johnson, Tony Brazil, and Terry Hood.
