Joyce Izard McClanahan

Joyce Izard Reese McClanahan, 73, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018, at Elizabeth's home from COPD. She was born May 15, 1944 to the late Lonnie Arthur Reese and the late Mable Young Reese.She was known affectionately as Mama Joyce to those who loved her like family. She never met a stranger and she will always be remembered for her smile and beautiful blue eyes. She retired from City of Columbus after 30 years of service. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
She was also a member of the Lions Club of Columbus. Joyce was also on committee for several charity festivals in Columbus.

Services will be 2:00 pm on Sunday January 14, 2018 at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. David Haynes officiating. Visitation will be 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Sunday. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens. Senter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Survivors include her daughters: Elizabeth (Jerry Grimes) Izard of Tupelo, Dorothy Jane McClanahan Kesler of Fulton, sons: Robert Michael (Rita) Izard of Brandon, Phillip (Angie) Izard, granddaughters: Megan M. Kesler, Mary Chandler Izard; special great-grandsons: Sean Scott, Christopher Scott, and Lucas Grimes; Sister, Geri Graham of Ft. Walton Beach, FL.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Captain Phillips H. Izard, Jr., husband, John D. McClanahan, brother, L.E. Reese
