Judy Lackey Stanford, 76, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017, at her home. She was born May 12, 1941 to the late Walter K. Lackey and the late Lois Kincannon Lackey in Shannon. She was married to her husband, W.J. for 59 years until the Lord called him home earlier this year. Judy spent many years employed at the Itawamba County Hospital until its closing. She then relocated to Baldwyn Nursing Facility where she was Director of Nursing until her retirement in 2007. She was an active member of Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church in Fulton.
Judy spent her life caring for people, not only as a nurse, but as a Christian who loved others. She lived her life based on the following words..."No one needs a smile more than the person who doesn't have one to give." She also had a passion and love for dogs. She had the honor of caring for and bonding with many throughout her lifetime.
Services will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday July 18, 2017 at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Jarrell, and Bro. Lloyd Minor officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Tuesday July 18, 2017 at Senter Funeral Home.

She is survived by her Son, Steven Gregory (Carolyn) Stanford, daughter in laws, JoAnn Stanford, Sandra Stanford, Grandchildren, Jon (Jan) Stanford, Laura (Erick) Velazquez, Jenny ( Armando Walter) Garza, Garland West, Dean West, Chelsea (Corey) Rogers, 9 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and a Sister, Marie Mask of Shannon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Stanford, her parents, 2 Sons, Jeffery Wayne Stanford, Phillip Mark Stanford, 2 Brothers, John Ed Lackey, Kenneth Lackey, and 3 Sisters, Ruby Nell Thompson, Carolyn Hatcher, Jane Sullivan.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Johnson, Rodney Sullivan, Gary Sullivan, Nathan Sullivan, Joe Mask, Zack Mask.
