Jere Coles Goostree, 89, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 9, 2017, at his home with his wife, Susie, of 24 years by his side. He was born January 20, 1928 in Nashville TN, to the late Emmon Lee Goostree and the late Ira Myrtis Porter Goostree. Served in the U. S. Army as Sargeant in the Germany Reconstruction period following WWII. Married in 1955 moving to Dallas to work for American Airlines at Love Field. Following a 40 year career at American Airlines and losing his first wife to cancer in 1980 he met and married Susie Franks in 1993. Susie rekindled his heart and spirit more than words can describe.

A memorial service will be 10:00 am Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Tombigbee Baptist Church. Senter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Susie Goostree of Mantachie, Son, Jere D. (Jessi) Goostree of Dallas, TX, Daughter, Barbara J. Cass of Richardson, TX, Grandsons: Jason D. Cass, Kendall L. Goostree, and James C. Goostree all of Dallas, TX, Lanny K. (Chelle) Franks, and Hunter Barnett both of Mantachie; Granddaughter, Halie N. (Corey) Timms of Fulton, Great-grandson, Owen P. Cass of Dallas, TX, Great-granddaughters: Charlie R. Timms and Emma K. Timms both of Fulton; Brother, Rexford (Vicki) Goostree of Hendersonville, TN.

Precedeed in death by his parents, First wife, Barbara Goostree, Brothers: Porter and Bob Goostree, Sister, Jane Smith
